These inspiring lovely ladies top our list of famous females who toke.
In an industry dominated by the image of a typical stoner poster child being a guy, it can be quite a surprise to find out which ones of our favorite female celebs partake in puffing. From movie stars to the music industry, toking up has been associated with faces like Seth Rogan or Snoop Dogg. But what about the ladies in the house?
Shows like Broad City (one of my favorite stoner sitcoms) normalize women smoking daily and openly. And clinical studies are finding that women use medicinal flower more than anyone, as in a study conducted by the NYU Grossman School of Medicine and published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in February of this year.
With the use of Mary Jane on the rise, our favorite plant is finding its way into familiar services like what we watch, consume, and how it gets to us. Magazine and newspaper subscriptions have opened the way to food and meal subscriptions, and now you can even order a subscription box for stoners. Smoker subscription boxes are a box of products packed with everything you need to get puffing while watching movies or chilling out to new tunes. And with more and more famous women stepping up to puff at the plate for the rest of us, it helps increase accessibility, acceptance, and awareness of this wonderful medicine.
1. Maya Angelou
Maya Angelou is one of the greatest women of our time. She was a poet, an activist, and a cannaseur in her own right. In her book Gather Together, she wrote, “I inhaled the smoke as casually as if the small brown cigarette I held were the conventional commercial kind."
2. Susan Sarandon

Susan Sarandon has for years said she has gotten stoned before every red carpet event she has attended. She must have been under the influence of off-camera shenanigans while filming Rocky Horror Picture Show, too. If not, at least we can enjoy her in several stoner comedies and more.

Next time you’re looking up “How to clean a pipe” on YouTube, check out the newest music video by Rhianna who is notorious for smoking the finer things in life.
4. Martha Stewart

You can’t hang out with Snoop Dogg and spend time in the clink without having come in contact with herb. Martha Stewart is a badass female felon we love who has told Andy Cohen, “Of course I know how to roll a joint,” during the taping of “Watch What Happens Live”. Her stoner subscription box would likely include a little bit of everything you need to smoke a bowl, water pipe, or roll a joint. Let’s be real. She’ll make it herself.
5. Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi Goldberg seems like she would love a MJ subscription box for smokers because she loves it herself. Not only does she smoke frequently, she launched her own company selling a unique product line for women.
6. Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe lived a fantastical and yet tragic life. At least America’s sweetheart and JFK’s side piece was able to relax with a joint every now and then.
7. Charlize Theron

We love women who smoke and we love Charleze for showing us her creative side off screen. When in doubt, stoners know how to make-do and it looks like Ms. Theron has done that before.
8. Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore is a household name. From her role in E.T. to the recent NetFlix hit “Santa Clarita Diet” (excellent stoner comedy), Barrymore has said more than once that she likes to get chill with a joint. She’s even been caught taking tokes with Hollywood buddy Cameron Diaz.
9. Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart, the star of the Twilight movie series has been known to partake in a little Mary Jane every once in a while, and it may explain the look in her eye when her character is staring sleepy-eyed at her dreamy vampire counterpart.
10. Megan Fox

Megan Fox told GQ magazine, “I can’t tell you how much bullshit I’ve been through because I will openly say that I smoke weed. People look at it like it’s this crazy, hippy, fucked-up thing to do. And it’s not. I hope they legalize it.” This is why we love her.
